Chester Zoo Walk and Talk with the Curator of Mammals on the 6/7/2013

so what can you share folks?

If you are a tiny rhino and you lose your mum (cos you needed the loo) you make little blowing sounds and she comes dashing back for you.

Even people called bongo have trouble keeping track of them. (there are more than expected but we don't know where they came from)

Thank you very much to Tim, ZG & Claire, another fantastic day.

Thanks from me and Chris too for another excellent (and hot!) day out. Loved the multitude of rhinos :)

A fantastic day, thanks to ZG, Tim and Claire. A very informative and interesting day, the company wasn't too shabby either... ;) And a special thanks to Bongorob for all his help in regards to getting me there on time! :D

I would just like to add my Thanks to Tim and Claire for giving us their time to make it such an interesting and enjoyable day and to ZG for organising it.

Echoing what others have said, a massive thank you to Tim, Claire and Zoogiraffe. It was a very informative day, and a good chance to see people I haven't seen for a while and also to meet new people :).

I echo all of the above; I very much enjoyed myself!

Did the elusive black lion tamarin make an appearance after I left? ;)

I'm afraid not.

I had a very good time: meeting friends in a favourite place on a beautiful day and learning a bit too, what could be nicer?
I'm not sure how well we answered Tim's questions, but he answered ours very well.
My thanks to everyone involved.

I bet that was a bit of a let down for JR, he's going to have to go daily now as time is running out... :p
It was great to actually speak to a lot of people in person, so much more fun when you're with like-minded people.

I wasn't expecting to be asked questions, that sort of threw me! ;)

The tamarins were probably watching JR from the thick vegetation outside, so they know his face now ;) and know to hide when he approaches!

If they were listening to what he was saying then they definitely will hide as soon as they hear his voice! ;)

Just to echo everyones else thanks to Tim and Claire, and particulary Claire for coming in on her weekend off to speak with a bunch of zoonerds, all about the Black Rhino's she works with!

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said.

I enjoyed this walk and talk a lot better than the last one, and I am learning to count at last.
