I fail to see the point in making a page about a species hardly anyone will see because it's not on exhibit.

Too bad about the gilders, I was looking forward to seeing them. Where were they exhibited? And do you know of any other zoos displaying them in the U.S.?

So do I, a lot of the animals online are off display.

They were exhibited in Wings of the World in the song-bird section. I don't know what will replace it, but I hope it won't be a bird. The Philly and Toronto Zoos have them.

Well I hope it's just an exhibit renovation and that the gliders will be back on exhibit soon. If not, I do want to try to visit Philly next year when I can drive myself so hopefully they'll still be there.

The toronto zoo does not have feather tail gliders and I'm pretty sure it never has. Maybe you were thinking of sugar gliders which are exhibited at the toronto zoo.

Yes you are right, I searched for Feather tail Gliders in zoos and there were many Sugar Glider links.

The warty pigs have replaced the male Red River Hog in Wildlife Canyon! You can still see Sir Francis Bacon in the Cheetah Encounter show, but the next time they will be on display will be in 2015.

Oh no, the pigs are a new species for me! Since Lowry Park has them I'll be seeing them twice this year! Though now that Cincy has them I kind of wish Lowry Park still had the bearded pigs...

Okay I just checked and the warty pigs are not on exhibit but at least we know the zoo has them.
 
You'll never guess what animal I saw today!! (Pm)

Changes:
-New interactive activities and enhanced electronic animal signs were added to every exhibit in Jungle Trails. More lights were added to the nocturnal exhibits. The primate pictures that were up in Tropical African animals were taken down yet in the Asian building they are still up.
-Africa is breathtaking and perfect
-A tropical viper species that I'll figure out what it was later replaced the Caatinga lancehead. It started with "tropical".
-The ruffed lemur exhibit has been closed for 3 weeks now
-An unidentified species was added to the middle song bird exhibit.
-The baby doll sheep are in the donkey exhibit and no longer in the petting zoo.

No the sugar gliders are in Jungle Trails. It just took the zoo two years to add them to the website. The feather tail exhibit is still closed in Wings of the World.

Here's the new interpretive guide for Africa. It looks like the wild dogs will be part of phase IV. The species list has been released!

The African Plains will feature:
Grant’s gazelle (Phase IV)
· Lesser kudu (Phase IV)
· Guineafowl (Phase IV)
· Zebra (species? Phase IV)
· White-backed vulture (Phase IV)
· Ruppell’s vulture (Phase IV)
· Wildebeest (Phase IV)

I'm somewhat surprised to see a certain species missing from that list.
