I talked to Thane before I saw Chester. By the way I don't think Chester hurt himself muscle or bone wise since he has a square cut sore on his leg.

Walter, the new baby Warthog is in the nursery. He will be raised as an educational animal where he will be walked around the zoo and will be presented in Africa. Judging from the wall, he may be in the building across from the petting zoo (not accessible to visitors), but the playset in the photo looks like the one in Lucy the bearcat's exhibit.

It seems the zoo also added a Herring Gull named Sushi, to the Wings of Wonder Show.
 

In the new video, Thane implies that the warty pigs will rotate with the male river hog. If I was told correctly, since the zoo is turning Wildlife Canyon into an all Asian complex, my guess is that the hog will be moved to Africa next year and the warty pigs will have the exhibit in the canyon all to themselves.

The Japanese Macaques are back on Monkey Island. No renovation was done to the island.
 
I am trying to get an accurate count of how many bonobos are in captivity in the United States. Does anyone know how many are at the Cincinnati Zoo? Name and ages would be helpful also.

The zoo has 9. I will make a thread that describes all of the zoos apes in Jungle Trails. But for now their names are Vim, Vijay, Louise, Zanga, Vernon, Clara, Kimia, Vergil, and Zeke.

Walter the Warthog | Cincinnati Zoo Blog

I was reading up more about Walter the warthog and this blog says he will not only be in the interactive area in Africa, but will have his own small yard and stall within the new exhibit. He will be moved out of the Children's Zoo in 3 weeks.
 
The new female black rhino has arrived! Her name is Seyia and you can find a pic of her on Flickr.
 
I know that Seyia isnt really red, its just mud but she looks so red and her horns look almost white against it. She looks so cool like that. What a way to make her presence know? Go look at the red and white Black Rhino.
