ZOO Antwerpen Antwerp zoo

Thank you, lintworm. Is is kept alone or maybe together with small primates ?

For the moment it's kept alone in a rather darkened exibit in the Small Monkey House, last one before leaving the building. I saw it last friday very well.
A combination with galago or potto should be possible.

Notable births this spring:

owl faced guenon
kirk dikdik
golden headed lion tamarin
goeldi's monkey
congo peacocks
red ibis
white crested turaco
salvatori pheasant
red cardinal
yellow knobbed curassow
speckled mousebird
goldie's lorikeet
luristan salamander

Thank you,Phillipine Eagle. How dark is his exhibit-is it possible doing Pictures without flashlight ?To Keep it toghether with galago or potto would mean to Keep them in a nocturnal exibit-anyway-does Antwerp still has Potto, maybe in Nocturama ?

He's currently held in this exhibit, in the small monkey house. I don't think you would need a flashlight to photograph it.

As for the Potto, Zootierliste states a lone male, presumably in Nocturama.

2 White-rumped shamas
1 Yellow knobbed currasow
the young Owl-faced monkey was already exploring it exhibit
at least 3 Blue spiny iguanas
x Egyptian tortoise(s)
The new wader-aviary and Penguin-enclosure both looked fine but a pitty that a lot of aviaries had to put down for this !
Walk-through aviary next to the Hippo-house closed due to contructionwork.
Walk-through reptile-hall closed due to contructionwork ( new roof ).
Constructionwork on the new coral-reef aquarium still going on.
The old wintergarden next to the monkey-house has transformed into a butterfly walk-through.
Loads of rain this day but evenso a very enjoyable experience !

The Reptile-walk through ( entrance to the Reptile-building ) opened again. Init there are 11 Green iguanas, 13 African spurred tortoises and 9 different bird-species ( about 20 specimens ). Among the birds also the Fischer's touraco.

Antwerp has become for their male Black and rufous sengi called Gijsje a female which is called Guusje :).
