Something I too intend to keep an eye on, as - like I noted at the start of the thread - my main objective is to beat last year's old world primate total :)

Out of curiosity I just did a rough tally of the qualifying taxa I saw in 2013, and came up with a total of 56. As such, my personal target will be to hit 57 :p which may be tricky as two or three of the species I saw in 2013 may not be around for long.

What with my trip to Germany, I am getting closer to success in my personal challenge of beating last year's Old World Primate yeartick total - although of course none of the stuff I saw there is valid for *this* challenge.

For anyone interested, the following are my "apocryphal" Old World Primates, with lifeticks marked in bold.

White-fronted lemur (Eulemur albifrons) at Zoo Berlin
Greater slow loris (Nycticebus coucang) at Zoo Berlin
Senegal bushbaby (Galago senegalensis) at Zoo Berlin
Common mona monkey (Cercopithecus mona) at Zoo Magdeburg

De Brazza's monkey (Cercopithecus neglectus) at Tierpark Berlin
Diana monkey (Cercopithecus diana) at Tierpark Berlin

Patas monkey (Erythrocebus patas) at Tierpark Berlin
Barbary macaque (Macaca sylvanus) at Tierpark Berlin

only two species of langur?! Is that a complete list of the Old World primates from those zoos, or is it minus ones you'd already seen in the UK this year? I expected a lot more to be honest.
