I'm surprised you've managed to go so long without seeing one of these before! They've been very common in the Perth area in my experience.

They might be, but the last time I was in Perth was 1986, and I don't recall seeing them at all back then.

@boof: I was looking for the two White-tailed Cockys yesterday but all I could find were the Redtails. But I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for them, the Redcaps, and the Western Rosella. But as I'm working all week, and flying back to Sydney on Saturday morning, I suspect I won't be seeing them this trip.
