no it doesn't. Go to the USA forum section, look for a thread called "Moebelle's Cincinnati Zoo youtube videos" or something along those lines and you'll find a video of the entire inside of the nocturnal house. Some enclosures are alright, some are despicable. Unbelievably the house used to be the cat house where cats were cooped up in what amounted to fish bowls. They converted it to a nocturnal house and heralded it as a major improvement. The best you could say is that at least they don't have pumas and snow leopards in these boxes any more.
I think that if given enough privacy and space, very small desert carnivores - Sand Cats, Black-footed Cat, Fennec may be better kept indoors so that they don't have to struggle with humidity and temperature issues. Obviously a collection in the Middle East or the American South-West doesn't have to worry about these issues - most places do.
But Caracals are really too big to be kept permanently indoors, IMVHO..
