Jul. 2014 - Jungle Trails - Potto Exhibit (Reversed Lighting Off)

For some reason random nocturnal exhibits around the zoo lately have had their day lights on. Through these three weeks I've seen the Fennec Fox, Fishing Cat, Potto, Eurasian Eagle Owl, and Feather-tail Glider exhibit lights on.

Your saying Chlizers a zookeeper?

He has been a keeper in the past, yes.

As far as I can see, his post was entirely polite and - more to the point - accurate as far as the lack of suitable enrichment and climbing opportunities for the species goes. If Moebelle feels the need to leave Zoochat because his favourite collection is receiving criticism, then so be it; it's a free world :)

What I want to know is if everyone hates the habitat so much then why don't they call The zoos public service line and make a complaint????????

I'm leaving because not a single good thing is said about anything on this site.

That is most certainly not a "perfect" enclosure for tapirs. The land area is too small.

Personally, I think either the zoo's Banded Palm Civet or Cape Genet would be very happy in this enclosure (the Potto one, not the tapir).

Both of them have enclosures similarly built to this.
