2-Day Zoos?

If a zoo has the space and financial resources for a larger collection - great. I think the key is that the admission price should only match the collection size up to a point. Four hours is probably a good limit - longer than most visitors would stay but shorter than the die-hards. So charge whatever the going rate for four hours of entertainment is in your area.

As for the two-day ticket, that's a fine idea, but I would imagine you would not sell enough to justify the hassle of offering it. Except for the National Zoo (which is free anyway), I've never been to the same zoo twice in one week (although I wish I could have done that for San Diego and Saint Louis). And for those of us who travel to different zoos, we're probably getting half off anyway with reciprocal admission discounts.

That's an excellent point, I don't think two day passes would sell very well.

We would be the only market for that sort of thing, and unless we're local we're not likely to be have the time to go back twice. If we can, then we're probably local and will by membership.

Normal people going to their local zoo or looking for something to do on holiday are very unlikely to come back, even if they don't see everything.

Pretty sure Newquay do a 'weekly' (might be only 5 days) ticket to encourage return visits. Not sure whether this only applies during peak season or year round.
