Indonesia’s team won the badminton women’s double over China, getting their first gold medal in Tokyo 2020.
Hassan won her heat in 1500m after she was being tripped in the final lap.
Gymnastic women’s floor was won by Carey, and Ferrari from Italy got her first medal at the age of 30, while bronze is tied between Melinikova (ROC) and Murakami, the first Japanese gymnast to win a medal since 1964.
Armenia got their first medal in gymnastics, with Davtyan getting a bronze in men’s vault. Shin from Korea and Abliazan from ROC got gold and silver.
Guatemala’s Kevin Cordon lost to Indonesia’s Ginteng in the badminton bronze medal. Although he didn’t get a medal, he prove that you can still be a great player even if you’re in a country that is not so good.
El Bakkaki won the men’s 3000m steeplechase.
