Just one more day till the poll closes and the dwarf galago is likely to win.

But I thought I'd share this short documentary from the excellent "Little fire face project" NGO which works with the research and conservation of endangered slow and slender loris species throughout South and South-East Asia.

Sweet video. Can't wait for the next poll O.C.!
I still can't believe that literally NO ONE voted for the Javan slow loris, I expected at least someone to vote for it.

Well this poll will finish tomorow and then the lemur poll will finish next week too.

I'll post the next one fairly soon which will be on old world monkeys from Africa.

I expected a couple of votes for the loris too but I guess the fact is that the loris has far more conservation back up than the galago and people can feel this keenly and vote accordingly for it as the underdog.

I mean the fact that the short documentary I posted above has been made about the species really highlights this as there is none and very limited media attention for the galago unfortunately. :(

Indeed.

So with the Rondo dwarf galago won this poll outright with the Javan slow loris getting not a single vote.

It seems that people feel very strongly that the conservation of this species should be prioritized which is excellent and a sentiment that I also share.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any footage online of the Rondo dwarf galago so to celebrate its victory in the poll I'll post this video of a close relative.
