I see.I’ve seen it commonly called as Smith’s Dik-Dik
Is it some form of Ibis?So I guess that means that I am now harboured with H.
The animal I am thinking of which begins with H belongs to one genus, which has several species. Its name has also been applied to a different, unaffiliated genus.
It is a bird - and these birds vary quite dramatically in colouration.
At the moment it is not held in European captivity anywhere, but members of the genus were held in captivity as late as the early-21st century.
Can any of you guess what animal I have in mind?
Nope. Think smaller, and more on the wing.Is it some form of Ibis?
No to the former, quite closer in regards to the latter. It is a kind of hummingbird, that is.Honeyeater? Hummingbird?
Nope and nope. Think genus-level, not species.Horned Sungem? Humboldt’s Hummingbird?
Nope. By genus-level I mean the scientific name for the genus itself doesn't begin with H, but the common name which refers to members of that genus does.If so would it happen to be the Hoary Puffleg?
