Adding New Species to the Gallery!

First photo of the species in the Gallery!

First of the genus in the Gallery, though this is an undescribed taxon.

First photo of species and subspecies.

Probably the first ever known photo of this species in captivity, specifically public display.

Some new Crabs at the Aquarium, rarely displayed to my knowledge (The butterfly is my favorite of the 2)

This is most likely not the labelled species, atleast visually. I don't think black spots near the gills and base of tail are a feature of the labelled species from what I've read and watched.

Could be a undescribed taxon or regular misID though, definitely need to ask someone well-versed with American cichlids.

Not the first picture I've posted of it since I included it in one of the photo showcases a few months ago, but I finally have an ID for this super stunning frog that I previously labled as "Dendrobates sp." but it's actually an Oophaga species

New mammal for our gallery! This morning I did a quick photoshoot with this little dude as he was being released from a field survey.

Some wild critters I've photographed since January to October of 2025, taken in various sites across Java.

Three new taxas for the gallery, these are some of the wild animals I photographed in the Bogor Botanical Garden in Bogor, West Java.

Second subspecies of this species in the Gallery.

Nominate subspecies, endemic to Java.

Realised this was a new species for the gallery. This specimen was kept in my home aquarium after being an unintentional hitch-hiker on live rock originating from the Coral Sea. Initially it was found attached to an unidentified white, encrusting sponge, which I assume is it's food species. The nudibranch fed on this for some time until the whole thing had been eaten, and then soon starved to death - as is usually the case for captive nudibranchs.

ID is somewhat tentative, but T. lilacina seems like a good match.

It's quite surprising that this mantis shrimp species formerly wasn't found in the media section yet. This species was extremely common in Indonesian live seafood restaurants. Photo taken in Bandar Djakarta Alam Sutera, Tangerang, Indonesia.
