3 yers ago the breeding-female Diana-monkey at Zoo Aschersleben ( Germany ) died and to keep on the breeding they started to search a new female for the male. This proofed to be quite difficult but last month a new female arrived from England. To get used to eachother the male and female were kept in enclosures next to eachother but during some small construction-labor the female managed to escape. A few traks in the snow and some sithings are everything what is left from the female. She is now dissappeared already for 14 days and the chanches to get het back are little.
This brings me to the question about other 'big escapes' from zoo-animals you know about.
