But given that you have seen the gibbons, do they look like the ones pictured on the sign?
The animals you mention for Joburg are Buff-cheeked Gibbons (N. gabriellae) - that is the species kept at Ljubljana and that is the species they were imported to South Africa as, despite the annual report for Joburg calling them "concolor gibbons".
You're right, Atlanta is far from the coast so one would consider this outside their natural range.Giant Oceanic Manta Ray is also kept by Georgia Aquarium.
Yes, unfortunately I was told that the new director was of the opinion that the ray shouldn't be given special feeding sessions like it always had been. So it starved to death... Some other unique species there died as well because he fired a couple professional aquarists that were not Singaporeans.Wait, what??? The Ornate Eagle Ray at S.E.A. Aquarium died???
I don't like speaking bad of other people, but yes that is what I have heard from a good friend. Is the new director a racist?
I anyone sure of the identity of any captive night monkeys?I'd like to add Black-faced night-monkeys, They are kept at Mystic Monkeys and Feathers Wildlife Park in South Africa. A possibility stands that the signage my be incorrect which would render them not as rare.
