Animals You've Seen That Few Zoochatters Have Seen

The now-deceased douc langur in Philadelphia; apparently one of the only zoos outside their native range to have kept them (with the same captivity issues as the more famous proboscis monkey)

Beauval and Chleby in Europe keep them now, along with Cologne until quite recently ;)

My best captive ones are probably Cypriot mouflon, Great spotted cuckoo, Cream-bellied fruit dove and Arabian barn owl.

I’m guessing Russian and possibly Canadian members have seen this species, but would the Black Sea Bottlenose at L’oceanografic be rare?

The reason why I mentioned seeing a goldcrest is because just yesterday I had a very nice experience with one in my local forest. It was very active and pretty tame since it didn’t mind me observing it for a few minutes.

They don’t necessarily register people…..we’re too big to bother about

I've seen Goldcrest, but in China not Europe. And the very next bird I saw was also a lifer - a Common Wren.
