Any other Zoochatters seen Hooded Grebe?
With your travelling, in the future there's more chance seeing the zoochatter Giant Eland in Europe than the species. You're right, I don't live in Europe![]()
The now-deceased douc langur in Philadelphia; apparently one of the only zoos outside their native range to have kept them (with the same captivity issues as the more famous proboscis monkey)
I saw peppermint angel fish and neptune grouper at california academy of sciences.
How many Zoochattters have seen a Goldecrest?
None of those actually. I haven’t gone bird watching much but I wish to start doing it more on my free timeFor Finland, how about Siberian Tit, Blyth’s Reed Warbler, Pine Grosbeak, Saimaa Seal (or Wolverine in the wild)?
Thanks so much!Good luck; let us know how you get on; lots of great owl species possible as well.
It’s a fairly common bird I’m afraid. I suspect most European zoochatters will have seen it.
But it's very rare in captivity, that's what count for this thread I think.
Yes that is what I meantI think @Platypusboy meant that he had seen Goldcrest in the wild.

They don’t necessarily register people…..we’re too big to bother aboutThe reason why I mentioned seeing a goldcrest is because just yesterday I had a very nice experience with one in my local forest. It was very active and pretty tame since it didn’t mind me observing it for a few minutes.
