@john, please .... you know full well these things take time. Do not be so impatient and let the animals sort it for themselves. First indications are good and the older females being integrated with him are well .... quite "experienced". You will really have to let it rest for another few months before we can say for sure it is working out well.
Aside, the zoo management nor animal husbandry staff would ever have dreamt of taking him in if they had no confidence in the final outcome. Another benefit is that the EEP is gaining new participants overseas.

@Kifaru Bwana Of course, one problem for continued participation would be that they now have no gorillas! Maybe one day a bachelor group might make its way out there.
A male Blue-eyed black lemur was "born" in March, it is currently being handraised as the mother, called New Hope, does not have any milk. It came into the world via a caesarean as it lay in a breech position.
