The old elephant house has always been linked to rhinos potentially being housed there, IMO, aside from bears, it is the one species which Blackpool have always lacked. The bongo are no longer in the collection, the blesbok and ostrich are also down to single numbers. The children's farm is a relatively newer development (although twelve years old this year) so couldn't see that going anytime soon.
Maned wolves are a great idea, the zoo's current pair of wolves are nine-year old brothers, so there's a likelihood that Blackpool may go into a new species once the current pair pass away. The area where the giraffe are now may require some development first, extending into the other paddock where rhea, ostrich and muntjac are held would be good and could allow the zebra to be moved down. The reindeer are a bit of a waste in that enclosure, considering it once held bison, the reindeer numbers could be shortened down and move the remaining ones to the current children's farm as was the case when the exhibit first opened.
