That makes sense. Featherdale has heaps of quolls. In 2005 and 2009, Columbus received quolls from Featherdale Wildlife Park in Australia.

burning zoo questions are there any Zebra Duikers in captivity anywhere in the world public or private ownership?
I saw zebra duikers several times, in both Frankfurt Zoo and Los Angeles Zoo, back in the 1980s but, sadly, I don't think there's been any in zoos for years.thanks what about the duikers
I believe it was mentioned in some guidebook that Omaha had them for a brief period when the Kingdoms of the Night opened. In 2005 and 2009, Columbus received quolls from Featherdale Wildlife Park in Australia.
very cool i wonder why the US is not good with dasyuridsI believe it was mentioned in some guidebook that Omaha had them for a brief period when the Kingdoms of the Night opened.

For now, no animals are in captivity. Are Abbott's duiker kept anywhere?
Zootierliste says that London Zoo kept the Abbott's duiker from 1922-27For now, no animals are in captivity.
There are no pure Arctic Wolves in captivity (at least in North America) but there are some animals which have significant Arctic Wolf ancestry. That being said, just because a wolf is white doesn't mean it has Arctic Wolf ancestry.
Any idea where at? I was under the impression that the Japanese ones were also at best hybrids that happen to exhibit an arctic-looking phenotype. Nasu Animal Kingdom was the specific zoo I gathered that in regard to, but it seemed like it would be the case for others as well.I remember there are some in Japan?
I saw one at ZooAve in Costa Rica. After learning that most Mottled Owls (Strix/Ciccaba virgata) in Europe are in reality Mexican Wood Owl (Strix squamulata), I'm curious if there are any genuine Mottled Owl in captivity. I would assume that, if so, they would be in zoos and sanctuaries in their home range of South America. A "Mottled Owl" was previously kept at the Smithsonian National Zoo - was this too S. squamulata?
Zootierliste doesn't list any currently in zoos. It was kept in Berlin Zoo (1906-13), Hamburg (1880), Cologne (1972-86) and Amsterdam (1854-5). I visited Cologne in 1982 and 1985, so I may have seen oneAre northwest african cheetahs [Acinonyx Jubatus Hecki] kept anywhere in captivity?
I mean south african cheetahs are quite common, sudan cheetahs have a breeding program in europe with several zoos breeding them too, and i think some asiatic cheetahs are/were held in a semi captive facility in iran.
so why no hecki?

I heard them in Costa Rica but never ended up seeing a wild one.Belize Zoo houses a mottled owl. I also saw one in the wild on a night hike in Belize on the same trip.
