Are These in Captivity?

In any public aquariums? I would love to see them

Possibly, but given how short-lived the species is (and how only people like us would notice them) they quite possibly come and go without ever being reported.

For instance, I know the SeaLife in Berlin kept the species in April 2014, but the species was gone again not long thereafter - had two Zoochatters not happened to visit the collection when they did, none of us would have known.

They were kept at Berlin from 1907-1919. They were kept at Hamburg Bird park (now closed) in 1906. They were also kept in London in 1874 and again from 1914-1919.

Apologies for being pedantic but these dates, which I assume came from Zootierliste, don't exactly match the details in the ZSL records.

According to the Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London London Zoo's first limpkin arrived on 6th October 1875 (not 1874) and died the following day.

Another individual arrived 4th July 1914; this bird lived for a "few months".

ZTL is indeed incorrect for the first bird, but as far as the second bird is concerned, Amur Leopard simply invented a date range from the top of his head it seems :p as all ZTL says in that regard is "1914 - ???"

Found the collection in Costa Rica that claims to have Great potoo. Toucan Rescue Ranch, just north of San Jose, as of December of last year. Best species list ever

AHHHHH wish I knew about this when I went to Costa Rica in 2014!! Who knows if they had Alston's Mouse Opossum at the time...but ARGGG what if they did haha!?

Edit: ahh I see it's a list of what has ever been cared for there. Now I feel a little better, unless he was caring for an Alston's at the exact time I was there haha.
