After a visit today;
Still no sign of the thommies; today it was because the weather was bad so they were locked indoors as the giraffes were in their paddock.
Saw the padlopers as well; counted three
The gorilla introductions are going well; I counted 3.2 in with the new infant female today. Only the silverback, one adult female and one of the blackbacks were locked away.
Lots of fowls offshow because of the flu; eiders, argus pheasants and screamers to name a couple.
It appears the three young arapaima that were in the main Aquarium hall have been moved into the giant Amazon tank; very impressive to compare them to the huge one in there.
Ostriches seem to have been temporarily moved from the savannah to the nilgai paddock; incidentally, no nilgai sighted so are they still there? Only a few left when I last visited a couple months back.
Also, for the first time ever saw every species of animal in the Monkey House walkthrough that is signed on the handout ID sheets; two-toed sloth, night monkey, pygmy marmoset (plus the hybrid), white-faced saki, Rodrigues fruit bat, green iguana, Chinese water dragon, Belanger's treeshrew, New Guinea ground cuscus, tokay gecko (heard one too

), and incredibly a Seba's short-tailed bat going on an early evening reccy towards the end of the day! Only missed the (not signed) sugar glider...
