Dear ZooChatters,
I would like to ask you all for a little bit of help. I need to do a little survey for a new established Wildlife an Conservation Discussion Group in Dublin (see http://www.zoochat.com/699/wild-thoughts-poster-258980/ )
The question is - what do your kids learn in school about conservation and endangered species?
I want to make it as simple as possible - just ask you child about their Science or Biology class - Did you learn something about endangered/extinct species? Did your teacher explain evolution to you? Did they tell you, how to protect our environment?
And then just state the age of the child and country...
Here is an example:
Maria, 12 year old, Czech Republic
Basic evolution principles explained in 6th grade.
Basic introduction to ecology, especially pollution and recycling.
Teacher didn´t explain extinction or protection of endangered species at all.
Thank you all very much for your help, I really appreciate it.
P.S. I understand that ZooChatter´s children will know more about animals than the children of "non-animal lovers", but that doesn´t matter, I only need to know, what they learned in school.
