On March 3, Guiseppe the black howler swam across their moat and escaped the howler enclosure. He then climbed into the siamang moat and swam to their rock bridge. Before the siamangs could reach him, keepers used a hose to spray water and create a barrier. He went back into the moat twice before they were able to capture him with a net. This happened during opening hours.

The USDA report misspelled his name and has his age wrong. Giuseppe was born at the Los Angeles Zoo on August 5, 2017. I happened to see his former keeper in LA today and confirmed he moved to the Audubon Zoo around the end of January so he must've just gotten out of quarantine when this occurred. By comparison, the LA exhibit where he was born and grew up is fully enclosed and doesn't have a moat or pool.

I was wondering if it was the one from LA mentioned earlier in the thread.
