Would like to get another poll going, but first need the nominees. Not including aquariums.

Off the top of my head I'll say these should be up for consideration:

DC
Maryland
San Diego
Philadelphia
Woodland Park
Kansas City

What else?

I nominate DC (For both its otter exhibits) and Woodland Park for there freshwater otter exhibits

Dallas' Otter exhibit is great. I know you missed it when you were in Dallas in March though.

Jacksonville has two excellent exhibits, one for Giant Otters, and the other for North American River Otters.

Along with JAX, Miami has an otter exhibit that should be considered. So we're up to 10, any others?

I nominate Columbus Zoos Asian Small Clawed Otter Exhibit in their Voyage to Australia and the Islands.

Yes, no underwater viewing but a great roomy exhibit with a waterfall and stream and pond and cave.

Yeah, I've seen it, it may be better than a couple of the aforementioned exhibits, but I don't think it has any chance of being voted the best.

How I'd vote on this depends on what we're talking about:
(a) Best zoo for otter exhibits; OR
(b) Best single otter exhibit.

If it's best zoo, then Jacksonville and Omaha would be my top nominees, because both of them have 3 different underwater-viewing exhibits, with Omaha showing off 3 different species. I'd probably lean slightly towards Jacksonville, however, as they have giant otters, and the river otter exhibit in their children's zoo is great fun for kids, with the chance to crawl underneath the otters in an acrylic tube. National Zoo is also a great zoo for otters, with 2 different nice underwater-viewing exhibits.

If it's best single exhibit, I really love Maryland, with its otter tunnel in the children's zoo. Other nice ones include Buffalo, Dallas, and Caldwell. Another unique otter experience is St. Louis' otter slide in their Children's Zoo, where kids can slide through an acrylic slide right through the otter pool.

Actually Jacksonville converted the smaller NA River Otter exhibit in the Florida area into a Snapping Turtle enclosure, so they're down to two otter exhibits. However, they'll be back up to three soon hopefully with Phase I of Monsoon Asia and Small Clawed Otters being added.

Best single otter exhibit. And thanks for the support for Maryland!

I voted for the SD zoo's spotted-neck otter exhibit, mainly because of the size and the interaction between the otters and the monkeys.
