Wildlife Heritage Foundation Big Cat Sanctuary - Smarden

Does anyone know if they have plans to breed Amasia the Amur tiger? Her sisters are awaiting a breeding recommendation I believe, but there's been no word on Amasia

does anyone know if kirana the tiger from chester has arrived here yet. cheers

So obviously since Tiny (African lion) died this only leaves Kasanga, but how many lions can the sanctuary hold if full capacity?

Or have th old lion enclosures been earmarked for new species?

Amur Leopard female LEIA moved from Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens to Smarden on 15 December 2022. She is intended as a mate for LUKA.

Amur Leopards - Male, Argun (born at BCS in 2008) returned from loan to the Rutland Owl and Falconry during January. He will stay temporarily pending a move to another EEP collection as a breeding male.
His mother Xixi was spayed last year for medical reasons but will remain in retirement at BCS.

Jaguars, Kumal and Kedera will be returned to Broxbourne next week following the completion of there enclosure rebuild.

Jack, the remaining Jungle Cat has recently been PTS due to severe arthritis. BCS no longer hold the species

Yes, it certainly is interesting. I was under the impression she was not to be bred because her bloodline was overrepresented.
Interesting to See Chester Zoo had brought in a new Male Sumatran Dash and have now announced 2 Cubs have been born to Kasarna.
