Did you see anything in the saddlebills'? It was reported that an egg was laid about 1.5 months ago. If it was fertile, it should have hatched by now, though their previous egg was infertile too.Recently I've been seeing that one of the Wattled Cranes has always been resting by the pool, but from the looks of it they seem to have produced an egg of their own

1. Mysterious papua is stripped of Iris Lorikeets and Lesser Birds-of-paradise I've been hearing they are all sent to the Breeding and Research centre
I'm assuming this is off-show? Does that mean there are no Lesser BOPs on show currently? As a side note do any of the Mandai parks ever allow tours around off-show areas or is it a similar situation to, say, Berlin?
Just curious what happened to our malgelanic steamer ducks and helmeted hornbill in the past. As well as the snowy owl.
Snowy Owl passed on iirc. Neither Jurong Bird Park nor Bird Paradise house the steamerducks.Just curious what happened to our malgelanic steamer ducks and helmeted hornbill in the past. As well as the snowy owl.
at Winged Sanc:
and Black-winged Mynas have been added to Wings of Asia
- the Kagu chick is currently on display. one of its parents has been transferred over to the Pink Pigeon cage
- another group of Jungle Bush Quails have been added to the Northern Bald Ibis cage
- Blue-winged Leafbird and Yellow Cardinals have been missing for awhile. have they passed on?
i see, i didnt expect Kiara to have his adult plumage so soonThe Kagu in the Pink Pigeon aviary is the chick. The parents won't be separated since they are a mated pair.
btw is the Blue-spotted Wood Dove still in Mandai's collection?
The wood dove was moved to Winged Sanctuary for a short while (housed with the Blue pigeons) where it died thereThe last one (at the Zoo's Tortoise Shell-ter with the Ploughshares) died last year.
