Currently blackbrook has 6 out of the 7 species of Peican. Will they get all 7 at some point?
Has there been any new stuff recently?

You will tell us when there are new enclosures won't you? And put lots of pictures on the gallery!!!!

the other collection was hillsdie bird oasis in mobberly cheshire but its closed now.

penguin exzibit wise i think its going to be pretty basic as in large pond dug out and cemented with landscaped area and filterwise will either be a very large natural filter system or a clorine based system both of with will be from large aquarium wholesalers i persume??? its hard to say about enclousre design and construction as im not sure how other zoos work but at blackbrook its a mix of the keepers and building contractors.

really not sure on the pelican front but i would imagin if we can get them we probly will but then this could also apply to the crane collection as im sure there is only a few species of these missing from our collection aswell as the waterfowl.

i think new wise since you lst come it has only been the red kanagroos

I visited Hillside, it was a wonderful place. I think it is still therer but not open to the public. I must make the effort and go to Blackbrook this year.

I thought so.

I just saw how you spell your username. Do you like Blood Pythons by any chance?

QUOTE=bloodycurtus;17141]yeah still there but not open also has got the species it use to[/QUOTE]

What is going to happen to the avairy at the end of the small mammal block if it gets redeveloped? I love it because it has a great blue turaco in.

lol yes bongorob and i think your one of the first to pick up on it seems most people think my names curtis!!!

and hornbill not sure but i would personal like to see it paired up and back in the avairy it came from so we can try and breed them

Python curtus i.e. the Blood (or Short-tailed Python). I did notice how you spelt it by I only just realised the significance of the bloody and curtus put together.

in the avairy next to the lady ross turacos by the milky eagle owls and we did have a pair but the male died about a year or so ago.
according to isis paradise park have 2pairs and The Pheasant Foundation has 2 females
been speaking to the owner today and he say he has some more australian pelicans lined up but it may be next year

lol all privatly funded the pelicans will be from a breeder no idea who
we are having a big push in the coming years to try and turn the attendance round

I'm trying to persuade more and more people to go. I'll have a Chat witha ateacher at School and maybe we could organise a trip there. What eco friendly things do you do? It would have to be the eco club that went you see.

You will have to bully everyone who live within a 15 mile radius of the park to visit. Then I will have no excuse not to.

Look on the back of 75% of bus's in staffs we have a adverts everywere at the moe

Also going out on ITV... soon i should be getting a copy of the advert 2night so i can upload and show you all laters

Thanks. I have sent you some pictures that you can put on the new blackbrook website.

What is in that off show area now? The one near the green peafowl aviary. They used to have Ground hornbills down there.

I'll look for the buses, I've seen plenty of your leaflets in Hanley library and Stoke station.
