Personally I think some zoo owner is just literally treating the animal as a money making toys.. They just don't have love for the animal. They think more about their personal interests.
a news article about that: Zoo Owner Whose Tiger Was in 'Life of Pi' Charged With Animal Cruelty - NBC NewsAccording to facebook, Michael Hackenberger, has stepped down while he defends himself in court.
Glad it is closing but worried about the welfare of the animals. The big zoos like Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg ect will take back their stock or rehome them at other zoos. So that will ease some of the burden. It could also mean some interesting additions to those big zoos. Hopefully none of them will be sold off to collectors and all go to good homes at sanctuaries or reputable zoos.
What animals has Bowmanville got? And which are likely to return to the owning zoos in Canada?
