I’m not quite sure. I don’t think they have it anymore. So what happened to the swift fox?

That’s disappointing, but understandable, since they aren’t on the master plan. But what happened to the old sandhill crane exhibit?I’m not quite sure. I don’t think they have it anymore.
It’s still there, but it’s now empty. That’s disappointing, but understandable, since they aren’t on the master plan. But what happened to the old sandhill crane exhibit?
I’m guessing it would be either the blue & gold macaw they’ve had in the past, or possibly the sun parakeets they plan on getting. It also could be new sloths that they might have acquired for the South American wetlands.I just uploaded a bunch of pictures from the zoo including the new exhibit! Also the Sandhill Crane moved to the Swift Fox exhibit and the former guineafowl exhibit now has two long wooden perches, so I'm not sure what's going in there.
You're probably right. I think that it would probably be macaws. The perches would probably be too wide for Sun Parakeets or sloths. Did you see anything there when you went @Wyman?I’m guessing it would be either the blue & gold macaw they’ve had in the past, or possibly the sun parakeets they plan on getting. The fox died.
I actually didn't visit the zoo on Sunday due to IRL stuff, but I may visit later this week. You're probably right. I think that it would probably be macaws. The perches would probably be too wide for Sun Parakeets or sloths. Did you see anything there when you went @Wyman?
The former guineafowl exhibit now has Toco Toucans! I figured that out from the winter visits page on their website. It lists Toco Toucans as an animal that is off-exhibit in cold weather.
Wow, really? I haven't seen them. I wonder what's in that exhibit then . . .They've had tocos in the waterfowl exhibit on each of my visits the last several years.
Does anyone know what exhibit it's in?
- Box Turtle – our box turtle digs a burrow in her exhibit and goes underground for the winter each year. She emerges naturally in the spring as it warms up!
The website also mentions a box turtle.
Does anyone know what exhibit it's in?
Currently it's Candace the capybara and three scarlet ibises. In the past I've seen white-faced whistling ducks before the ibises were brought in.
If the turtle and toucans aren't in there, then maybe the turtle is in the aviary next to the Burrowing Owls and the toucans are in the empty exhibit? Also, it's weird that they took their whistling-ducks off-exhibit. I'm pretty sure they still have two males behind the scenes.Currently it's Candace the capybara and three scarlet ibises.
