Bronx Zoo Bronx Zoo 2013

A photo on the Bronx Zoo's Facebook says "Click "like" if you think James the reticulated giraffe is definitely one of the most photogenic animals at the zoo.

Reticulated Giraffe? This could very well be a mistake on their part, but the zoo has Rothschild's Giraffes. Could they possibly have the Reticulated hybrid giraffes?

Probably just a mistake. The zoo has been breeding their giraffes almost yearly for some time and have sent giraffes to other facilities for breeding so I doubt they would have done so if their giraffes weren't pure.

Could someone please comment of the zoo's Facebook to make sure this is a mistake, I don't have an account so I can't do it myself.

Looks a bit older than 1-month if you ask me. ;)

How big is a one month old porcupine suppose to be because that one was very small. There was a much larger one, which I suspected was the photographed one's mother, in the exhibit but I didn't get a good picture of it. Trust me, that's certainly a young animal.

Though it very well could be another porcupine than the one BZF mentioned as I photographed it on April 27th so it's already almost been two months since the picture was taken. How old would you say that animal is then?

4 Black-Necked Swan cygnets are now on exhibit in the Children's Zoo.
I might try to get to the zoo later this week, but it's not definite.

An interesting article on the upcoming Komodo Dragon exhibit (plus other lizards nearby) that is due to open soon at the Bronx Zoo. It will be the first time since the 1950's that Komodo Dragons will be on exhibit at the zoo.

That looks like a fantastic Blue Tree Monitor enclosure! I'm sure this will become another great Bronx Zoo exhibit!

Funny, I went all the way to Cincinnati and visited the Dragons! exhibit but now it seems Bronx is bringing a better version of the exhibit here!:p

I look forward to seeing how it all turns out.
