Went to the zoo today. It was a good visit but it was really cold and windy and I started running out of time. I noticed some new things:
In World of Birds, there's new Long-Tailed Hornbills (also one in Congo Gorilla Forest), Tarictic Hornbills, Sulawesi Dwarf Hornbills, Elegant Crested Tinamou chicks, new Falcated Ducks (also in the Javan Langur exhibit in JungleWorld), new Green Peafowl, Bolivian Grey Titis and Golden Lion Tamarins were on exhibit with Montezuma Quails, and a new Chestnut-Breasted Malkoha among probable others.
In JungleWorld, there were new Falcated Ducks and Philippine Ducks in the Javan Langur exhibit, only one Matschie's Tree-Kangaroo was on exhibit, both Malayan Tapirs were on exhibit (one of which was spraying everywhere!), and there was a new Black-Breasted Leaf Turtle (didn't see them, though) and Giant Tree Frog exhibit along with some new inverts.
In the Mouse House, the Lesser Mouse Lemurs were on exhibit in the Giant Malagasy Jumping Rat exhibit (rats were missing) and Golden Lion-Headed Tamarins were on exhibit in the Red-Rumped Agouti exhibit.
In World of Reptiles, new Yellow-Headed Box Turtle, Madagascar Hog-Nosed Snake, mantilla, American Alligator, and Forsten's Tortoise babies were on exhibit.
Pics up soon and I have some species I need IDing.

The long-tailed hornbills and Sulawesi hornbills have been in the World of Birds for quite a while, as have the Philippine ducks and falcated ducks in the Javan langur exhibit.
Since when does the Bronx Zoo have two Malayan tapirs? I always thought that that exhibit wasn't even big enough to hold one!

Also in World of Reptiles, the last exhibit that used to be home to an American Alligator and an Alligator Snapping Turtle and is now home to Bornean River Turtles and Northern River Terrapins (I think).
Batagur borneoensis and Batagur baska.
Alright so they were the species I figured. Ok, thanks!
Thylo, did you happen to take any pictures of the tapirs? For some reason, I find it extremely hard to believe that two were on exhibit!
A Short-Eared Elephant Shrew born last month is on display in the Mouse House.
