A pair of Great Grey Owl chicks hatched just over a month ago at the zoo for the first time since 2018. The sire is the zoo’s male, Benjen, while the mother of the chicks is unknown and could be any of the zoo’s three adult females. However, one of them, Catelyn, has stepped in as the main female protector of the chicks.

2 red panda cubs were born in June to parents first time parents Udaya and Linus. Its a boy and a girl who have yet to be named. They are not on display just yet. Fantastic year for red panda cubs in Canada with 5 being born across the country, 2 in Calgary, 2 in Vancouver and 1 in Toronto.
On October 20th, the zoo announced that the red panda cubs made their public debut and are now on exhibit.
