I do, unfortunately. While the SSP is still pushing for the swap, apparently the move is on pause for the indefinite future :(

Calgary is rather attached to Nabo and is currently aiming to retain him (a new female is set to arrive spring of 2024). Apparently Kiko also has some sort of foot issue, which is making Toronto hesitant to move him (this is what I was told from the Calgary side of things, so not sure how accurate it is).

This comes from a fairly reputable source, but of course nothing is ever guaranteed. Logistically, moving fully mature adult male giraffes such as Nabo and Kiko is difficult, so I understand the hesitancy, but I still desperately hope this transfer ends up coming through one way or another. It wouldn’t be this year regardless, though :/

The zoo has updated its map to include Wild Canada, which has the 'Polar Bear Sanctuary' as the popular new attraction. Several other species (River Otter, Muskox, Caribou, etc.) are now back on exhibit, but American Bison, Dall Sheep and Whooping Crane are a trio of species that are no longer at the zoo.
