Yes, but i believe this thread is about carnivores as in Carnivora. They eat fish which is still technically meat.

ah I seeYes, but i believe this thread is about carnivores as in Carnivora.
the term carnivore here talks specific of the order carivora. Even herbivores like Pandas for example would be part of carnivora. While whales, bird of pray, crocodiles, tasmanian devils, or sharks, despite being carnivors in the commen sense, are not part of this thread. They eat fish which is still technically meat.
I believe this point has already been mentioned previously, with the poster already recognising the mistake.the term carnivore here talks specific of the order carivora. Even herbivores like Pandas for example would be part of carnivora. While whales, bird of pray, crocodiles, tasmanian devils, or sharks, despite being carnivors in the commen sense, are not part of this thread.

This mix is no more, apparently it didn't work out that well.I have seen Harbor seals together with Mute swan (AquaZoo Leeuwarden) and also with raccoons and striped skunks (WILDLANDS Emmen)
I'm not sure it is no more because of the mix that didn't work. The Harbor seals had/have skin problems so they are behind the scenes now. This mix is no more, apparently it didn't work out that well.
I heard they were not coming back. When it comes to behavior the mix might have worked out, I agree. But there is more then just behavior to mixing species. I suspect the freshwater/water quality might be the culprit in this case.I'm not sure it is no more because of the mix that didn't work. The Harbor seals had/have skin problems so they are behind the scenes now.
It can stay on the list though, as Brookfield still does this mix.Virginia no longer keeps small-clawed otter with gibbons. The otters both passed away, and they're not planning on adding more right now.

I took the liberty to clean it up a little. I arranged everything based on rudimental taxonomy, I also completed some things like Animal A + animal B means also Animal B + Animal A if you understand what I mean.Caracal
- Porcupine
I added the leopard shark to the sea otter (kept in Spain together) and the grey wolf - black bear combo (I believe this is done in Pairi Daiza). I also added sloth bear (in the past kept with a single Egyptian jackal and now only with Golden jackal in Rheine, rhesus monkeys in Leipzig, small-clawed otters in Hilvarenbeek, in the past also with Stump-tailed macaques in Hilvarenbeek). Further black-backed jackal with griffon vultures in Amersfoort and Caracal with some species of porcupine somewhere in Arabia. Northern fur seal with grey seal and Californian sea lion in Hannover, and Grey seal with harbor seal in several Scandinavian zoos.
They have also been mixed with rhinosCheetah and Domestic Dog is done at a few zoos.
