Wait a second so your telling me zoos have mixed American Black bears with baboons, langurs, Addax, and Arabian Oryx? Dude European zoos are something else
That's okay! This is better and more organized! Plus, this wasn't my thread, I just compiled some research that I have done and people started suggesting, so I was adding to them.
Yes, a large safari park and apparently it worked out quite well. It's only been discontinued quite recently I believe.
Hown can you mix the black bears with birds ? Are their wings cliped, or are the bears living in a aviary ?
If you make lists like this, it is worth adding the name of the place, the size of the exhibit (standard zoo, exceptionally large or safari park) and whether the animals were tame exhibition animals. Things which work in a safari park will not work in a normal zoo, and tame animals of every two species could probably be raised together.
By the way, the list on zoorope.hu has some mixes which failed (like lions with meerkats and mongoose).

The Chukars were wing-clipped (I think) and the owl was an injured non-releasable bird (the mix no longer exists).

Historically, Maryland Zoo (back when it was The Baltimore Zoo) kept aardwolf with rock hyrax, hornbill, African rope squirrels, and various African starlings in the large enclosure at the end of the Mammal House. Later, some of the aardwolves were moved to Chimpanzee Forest, where they were exhibited with Diana monkeys.
Surprisingly, giant tortoises are known to kill and eat small animals - by dropping and crushing them.

I think that Mongooses aren't good "preys" for Giant Tortoises. They are fast, agile, social and can fight back when attacked (the Mongooses).
Reported cases of killings by the Tortoises concern weaker animals, as young Terns.

True, but even without intending to, tortoises can be "killers" - I know of one case of a fairly good-sized monitor lizard that was crushed (accidentally) when a large sulcata plopped down on top of it.
