The Cat Survival Trust Cat Survival Trust

If you've ever been unfortunate enough to visit this disgusting junk yard then you'd probably assume the same as me, and that is that I'd be certain that the website has just been left to rot like the place itself, and the poor cats. How anyone with an ounce of empathy could leave those poor animals in such squalor and with an owner that has been banned from Keeping any animal is beyond me but I guess the local authority don't care about animals, just financial constraints. Be nice to some Animal Welfare organisations getting involved to bring it to the attention of the national Press. Some of the images the police released in the press are pretty damn horrific.

I would think they just haven’t taken it down - you’d have hoped it would have been part of an order made to remove it but someone probably didn’t even think of it.

It’s got no security certificate by the looks of it and it’s a bit dodgy web wise - seems weird to still have it but the bloke denied covid perhaps he denies this is all happening too.

It is not open to the public, just the farm shop itself.
The charity has been closed down now and there is an order in place that the cats must be found new homes by the end of October, though are yet to rehome any

Do you know what will happen to the animals if they are not rehomed by that date?

I dread to think, no one seems to want to take responsibility. One would think someone like The Big Cat Sanctuary might step in but, considering Moore’s loathing of the owners, that’s unlikely to happen

The article says a Hertfordshire zoo has stepped in to care for the cats there ?

Hopefully this ‘attack’ will speed up the removal of all animals from the site. I’m assuming now Hertfordshire Zoo are involved they’ll be a media frenzy surrounding them helping or they wouldn’t of got involved.
Why the offer wasn’t made by the big cat sanctuary to take some of the animals, I’d assume at the time this would of been less lucrative than rescuing lions from a war torn country.

Britain’s 'Tiger King' is mauled by his own BIG CATS and rushed to hospital It would appear Terry’s cat friends are not so friendly after all
Quite the turn of events. I am not sure if the rampant anthropomorphism in the firm of “He loves those cats and they love him.” should surprise me. Love doesn’t mean there won’t be gripes nor annoyances. It’s a shame that another zoo ended up “babysitting” a convict’s animals

True. But an international rescue is more likely to grab the attention of the average citizen than a local rescue no matter how urgent it is.

If you ever had the misfortune of meeting the man, you’ll have found he has a loathing for the family that own Paradise Wildlife Park/Hertfordshire Zoo. I never fully understood why but, being brutally honest, being in his presence for an extended period of time made me feel uncomfortable.

The word “Karma” comes to mind.

From what I see he has been a free contact man his whole life with these cats. No shortage of pictures of him with snow leopards close by.
I think it was an attack doomed to happen at some point or another. Even pet cats can have rather unpredictable tendencies - and of course they are smaller than pumas or snow leopards and more mentally suited to domestic environment. Though what surprises me is that this never happened apparently with the snow leopards...
I recall going to Wildkatzenzentrum Felidae in 2022, and the owner there allowed controlled contact with hyaenas, tigers and cheetah as they were more amicable animals, but with snow leopard there was no such contact, and for good reason - the snow leopards he had were not very amicable animals and rather rowdy and aggressive. Much energy. And perhaps there are differences in how the German collection manages its compared to this chap... but I am surprised, after my own experience, that the snow leopards caused him no trouble.
I do know of a Russian internet personality who has a pet puma... but I am not sure how relevant that is here

I should imagine this will sone turn into another fund raising event for Hertfordshire zoo as I can’t imagine they could afford the staffing and food bills etc for the amount of cats involved on there own

We thought about going joining as members when we first moved back to the area but the photos put me off.

Whilst I’m not a Hertfordshire Zoo fan I do think the partner sanctuary is well run in general & I understand the need to raise the most funds possible hence the lion rescue.
