Did the tamarins replace the African birds that were kept in the small aviary near the admissions booth? Or are they now on display further down the path from them?

They are in the African bird aviary. At the site of the tamarins old enclosure, I saw a bunch of tools, possibly implying that they are going to modify the old tamarin home, and put the Africans birds there, simler to what they are doing with the South American birds, and the silvery cheeked hornbills. There homes are being swapped to.

Some updates from my volunteer shift today:

A new cotton top tamarin enclosure is being constructed and the monkeys are only in the african bird aviary temporarily. This enclosure is much taller, giving the monkeys more room, in addition to a small left over cage left behind for the monkeys to transfer to.

An ambassador gunnie pig has passed away.

A black tailed Cribo has replaced what I believe to be the dimond back rattlesnakes in the herpentarium.

The cape thick-knees are with the silvery cheeked hornbills temporarily.

And this bird here was displayed with the writhed hornbills. It was not signed so I have no clue what it is.

Looks like a Palawan peacock-pheasant

Oh also, in the discovery center, the lubber grasshoppers has been replaced with dart frogs, and the corn snake has been replaced with an everglades rat snake.

He worked at the Florida Aquarium as the Vice President of Marketing, Communications & External Affairs for 1.5 years and as the Chief Marketing Officer at Texas State Aquarium for 4 years.

We will see, but to be honest I am not sure his qualifications are really up to being the CEO, but CFZ is not that large of a zoo, so perhaps it will be a good learning experience for him.

About time they got to renovated that exabit. It, and the cougar exhibit are getting old fashioned.
Any idea when it will be completed? The article is behind a paywall :(

I read the article using a paywall bypass, and no it did not say anything about the timeframe of the Amur leopard upgrades. As far as I am aware, the upgrade will start after renovations of the cotton-top tamarin exhibit is completed.
