Or stamp a disclaimer on their sides "NB I am here at this moment but that doesn't mean anything, I might be somewhere else in a few hours."

I was sorry to see that Judy the ex Chester Asian elephant recently died at Neunkirchen zoo aged 54. Judy was the mother of Jubilee the first elephant to be born at Chester zoo in silver jubilee year 1977. Jubilee's mother may have lived to a good age, unfortunately this was not the case with his father, Nobby, who escaped from the zoo and was shot dead in a nearby residential area before Jubilee was born, he was 15 years old.

From the zoo's facebook, four baby cheetahs have ventured out of their house for the first time. They are around five weeks old and were born to KT for those who are interested.

* Damm, Maguari beat me to it

Just noticed TARZAN's post. Bit of a good news-bad news kind of day. Saw Judy at Neunkirchen last year - was quite a nice retirement home she had there.

But you had extra info - didn't even confirm how many cubs on Twitter! :D

Blooming Marvellous News - finally they are out and about :O)
Of course I'm very biased going by my forum name but Cheetah Cubs are the cutest of the Cats IMHO :O)

I'm seriously pleased!!

Myself and my girlfriend will hopefully go to see them in a week or two :)

This is good news, hope the zoo's breeding success continues and one day mirror that of Whipsnade with this species, hope to get to see them in September when all the kids are back at school and you don't have to queue to use the facilities, well done Chester.

*****r, we missed another birth by a week. We missed Tejas by 3 days, we missed Nayan last year by 6 days. Now the new kids.

ZG what's pregnant, i'll tell you when were going so everyone else can go the following week!

:D you made me giggle :D

I've got a mental image of animals conspiring to make sure you have left the zoo before they produce, those darn jungle drums hey :)

We are looking at Friday 13th July to the following Friday, so everyone plan your visits for the week after!
