What a terrible effort that map is. My little girls could compile a more professional document.
And an absolute pet hate of mine, a muddling of singular and plural in the listings. Childish.
C'mon Chester, you can do so much better than this!
Truly awful--this is supposed to help visitors appreciate the great conservation work of Chester Zoo?
Not that there is any degree of cartographic accuracy here, but approximately where on this "map" is the new Islands development located?
If you mean the Adaze mating then I doubt you'll hear anything until they are born maybe - it's a tricky business is Cheetah mating
On the positive side, whilst there last Sunday I could see KT & her boys (Rufaa & Juba) in the long enclosure at the back of the main one along the bridle path - they seemed very frisky - so as I managed to see the other 4 adults that day too TECHNICALLY I got a Cheetah full house - but no photos (except Adaze lounging in a sunbeam on the mound).
Thanks for the info on the Cheetah's.I did make a note of the dates when they mated.I hope it was successful....![]()
Went yesterday and the gardens are looking very nice indeed.
Spent a happy hour watching tiger cubs with the remains of (what looked like) a blackbird.
Didnt see the cheetah cubs unfortunately but the boys are still a very welcome sight.
Serval looking very content resting in the sun.
No anteater, only seen the female once, oh well maybe next time!
Mrs lcpete
You probably won't see the cheetah cubs until the zoo are sure that the cub is fine and his leg is better.
Re: Serval probably due to the sun isn't what it could half be in Africa.![]()
I saw 'em!
Eh?
There is now at least one Pudu mixed in with the Anteaters. The Dinosaurs Bite Back Exhibit features viewing and signage for Flamingos and Komodo Dragons, with messages showing how they are linked to dinosaurs.
Not sure how long these have been here, but I noticed several 'designated smoking areas' around the zoo today.
Elsewhere, a new mobile app for the zoo has been released, but the new entrance system is rather confusing - though there are people to show you the way and it all seems quite fast flowing, though the prices in the shop seem to have shot up somewhat!
