A few notes from yesterday:
Miniature Monkeys - still just the pygmy marmosets in the West side, where the windows are still proving very difficult to look through as a result of the condensation. On the East side, the tamarins have now been separated from the Red Titis so that they can no longer see each other, quite a significant step from them being fully integrated a couple of weeks ago.
Asian Forest Tortoises are signposted in the former Rhinoceros Iguana exhibit in Islands in Danger, didn't spot any but a much needed addition considering there is now a lone Lesser Antillean Iguana with the Mountain Chickens. Indochinese Box Turtles are signposted in the former Mexican Beaded Lizard exhibit in Tropical Realm but didn't spot any of these either. Spiny Hill Turtles from RORA have gone off-show, just the Tree Shrew in that enclosure now.
In terms of the aquarium, work continues on the Snake-Necked Turtle tank (there is now some sand and bits of wood), whilst the Secret World of the Okapi tank has been filled with Elephant Nose Fish, despite Long-Finned Characins being seen in the tank earlier in the week.
