Have they moved some of the rhinos around recently? In May I saw EmaElsa and Gabe in the Tsavo house, plus another female which I thought I was told was Kitani. Zuri was in the offshow area as I enquired about her too.

Have they moved some of the rhinos around recently? In May I saw EmaElsa and Gabe in the Tsavo house, plus another female which I thought I was told was Kitani. Zuri was in the offshow area as I enquired about her too.
Yep, there has been a switch-around. It happened a couple weeks after your visit with Kifaru II and Zuri moving on-show and Magadi and Embu moving to the off-show house.
Ema and Gabe are adjacent to the warthogs now, and Kifaru is on his own in the lone rhino house.
The zoo have now announced the birth aswell as other female 'Zuri' having a calf. The father is likely to be 'Kifaru II' so his second calf at Chester. So 2 baby rhinos at Chester in one month!

I suggest you read up a little on some other institutions, most notably Safari Dvur Kralove and rhinos.
This in itself is in no way taking anything away from Chester's achievements in breeding the "difficult" black rhinos!!! Thanks principally to Chester's efforts, hard dedication and research initiated and still ongoing over the last decade and more, the species is once again flourishing across Europe.
BTW: It has in fact been so good that various zoos have been able to send rhinos surplus to the EEP/EAZA back to the wild (and which in most cases are now themselves breeding with wild counterparts).
The zoo have confirmed this I'm sure and they have announced the calves as being a boy and girl though I'm not sure which is which.
Visited again today:
-Saw both baby Rhinos and can confirm that Kitani's is female and Zuri's a male. Kitani's calf already has a name but I will wait for the zoo to announce it. Tsavo house is still closed but opens for short periods in the day. Zuri and her calf both stayed under the bridge so keepers shut it off from the Meerkats to the house as people were making a racket close to them.
-The vivarium in the Monsoon Forest next to the Painted Treefrogs now has inhabitant. I thought it was another frog species but it was actually a new viv for the Vampire Crabs.
-The amphibian hut in the Tropical Realm now has Borneo Eared Frogs in replacing the Denny's Whipping Frog.
-Saw the sloth outside for the first time, a very nice extension to there enclosure.
-The female Komodo Dragon was also outside. First time in along time that I have seen the Komodos outside.
-The Plant Project is now open. ALOT of catcuses in there! I'm not a big fan of plants but for any plant fans out there its worth a stroll inside.
-There are alot of the Madagascar Blue Stick-insects in the Butterfly house at the moment.
-Unsuprisingly I didn't see the Andean Bear cub.

-Aung Bo the Asian Elephant bull is now in the bull pen presumably meaning he's in musth.
-The Babirusa on the old Anoa island are no longer signed as being there
-Reeves' Pheasants are no longer signed on the Rainbow Aviaries
-Male Black rhino Magadi is in with female Malindi.

There's at least one in the off-show area of East Zoo though.
Part of a bigger consignment from AZA to EAZA (thanks in good part also to Chester's efforts and dedication). F.i. Wuppertal also got a new female from US.
Jihlava were also beneficiaries of this import.
