Duisburg's Facebook have mentioned one of their Fossa being delivered to Chester
I can’t wait to see this species at Chester!
I am just so excited in general for their new lemur/madagascar complex - the way they've always displayed their lemurs thus far has never been too spectacular, in my opinion. Will definitely be paying a visit as soon as it opens!

There's just the one Muntjac and he often likes to hide behind his wooden lead to. You can often see him there if you look down across the walkway that heads up over the Cheetah exhibit.

The exhibits look nearly finished too. They were doing gardening last week in there and there was a delivery at the same time of the glass for the front of the Fossa exhibit. I can't imagine it will be Easter before animals move and go on show as previously stated, they look well ahead of schedule.
I recon it’ll be the start of the new year it’ll fully open once they’ve moved in all the lemur species to their enclosures and the fossa have settled in. Though it could happen before then if everything seems almost finished.
Do you know that for a fact? There was certainly a pair initially.

In the 5/6 times I've been through September and October there has only been one out and always roughly in the same place, so unless it stays in the house, all the time, I've never seen more than one. Never seen two out together that's for sure.
Unless one has died/moved very recently there are definitely a pair, male and female:

Okay thanks. Those images were in April its worth considering. I would say it's always the female I see, looking at the colouration.
I know; I'm trying to establish if one has definitely gone since then (i.e. If you'd had that confirmed by a keeper, say), as just not seeing one of them even over several visits isn't proof either way.

No not by a keeper, but I am there on Thursday, so I will ask someone if I see someone and report back.
I saw both Indian Muntjac on 24th September, for what it is worth.

Interesting read, most of it already known, does say Grasslands phase 1 is next on the agenda, incorporating a large mix use habitat, and a small enclosures around with another large restaurant.
