Renovation work is also taking place in the Tortoise and Mountain Chicken Frog exhibits at the back of Dragons in (D)anger

Not exactly small TLD:D

Renovation work in Dragons in Danger in the tortoise and mountain chicken exhibits, is for tortoises and mountain chickens before anyone asks. :D

Serval have left the collection/QUOTE]

Not good news, unless it's due to them bringing in a new pair or replacing them with another small cat! The best zoo in the UK should have more than 4 cat species!

Well they could just be doing a Marwell and just getting rid of everything, but the then again Chester went through that pain in the 90's,just as Marwell is now but it will turn the corner it did at Chester!

There are only 2 species of dogs - perhaps they will take the chance to catch up with canids instead. After all dogs tend to make better exhibits ;)

Asian lion, jaguar, Somali cheetah, Sumatran tiger and Scottish wild cat is 5 cat species, even with my unique counting system. Another, as yet unknown, felid is replacing the serval.

I didn't bother including an offshow species! But great news that a new felid will be added!

One would hope the eventual new arrival is not, in point of fact, fetid :p

The latest e-news letter reveals that the Aquarium will be closed throughout May for refurbishment

Again? They only did it in 1990. :D

When an ichth... an ictho... an icctolo... an icthlo...

When a bloke who was interested in fish became Director there were some who thought the Aquarium would be a priority.

Seriously, a good quality Aquarium would be a huge asset.
