Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Cleveland Metroparks Zoo News 2018

Excellent. I believe it was like 10 years ago that they had them in the rainforest building. I am glad they are returning.
I am glad clouded leopards are returning to CMZ's collection, but I wish they would get a better exhibit than their old one in the Rain Forest (or the one in PCA where they were for years before that). The Rain Forest exhibit is too small and lacks any meaningful vertical space.

So I found out today that the new will be adding a clouded leopard to the cats section of the rainforest!! This is exciting news

In the summer edition of the Z magazine, it mentions "in late spring, a 9-month-old male clouded leopard came to Cleveland, and he will take up residence in The Rainforest."

I need some help wayfinding with this video:

Are the takins in the oanger enclosure? If so, were they deactivated.

The zoo is looking to hire a company to look at the RainForest for improvements that need to be made.

Interesting just because we rarely mention the Rainforest but I also applaud the CMZ for being proactive with it. The building and exhibits are showing their ages a bit and I'm sure many of the stats that they have on there are dated. Technology has come a long way since 1992 so I'm sure the Rainforest is full of great potential because it already is a real solid exhibit space. (Although I would love for an anaconda to make an appearance.)

The Asian Highlands looks like a very cool exhibit! I cannot wait to check it out for myself. Definitely giving a better overall habitat for those animals and continuing to enhance the Wilderness trek area.
