Closed Zoos Due To Weather?

YWP announced on facebook that they are assessing the conditions at the minute. How frustrating that great conditions for the Polar Bears, prevent us from seeing them in the snow :(
 
Amazing how much snow you guys have, here in Switzerland it is about -10 (which is very cold by western European standards), but no snow whatsoever below 900 meters altitude...

Do your zoosclose when it snows?
 
It seems most of the zoos I follow on FB have closed early at some point today. Having been the single school remaining open in the town today, I think the zoos are wise to close, for the safety of the staff as much as the visitors. (My drive home was absolutely horrific, and I am usually pretty confident driving in difficult conditions.) Crocodiles of the World is open, however, and looks delightfully warm!

Twycross Zoo this morning The zoo will be CLOSED today.
 
On FB, Shaldon, YWP, Crocodiles of the World, Twycross, Exmoor (even their keepers can't get in), CWP, BWCC, Gentleshaw, Dudley and Monkey World are all closed today.

Bristol's latest is that they anticipate opening at 11am. Chester is open.
 
Actually, Monkey World may be open until 12.30pm, the post isn't entirely clear.

EDIT: Nope, they are definitely closed, just posted an update!

I doubt there’s any snow left in Chester by now :) very little remaining down the road where I am.
