Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Columbus Zoo and Aquarium News - 2013

Mini-update from a quick trip to the zoo today:
-Many (if not all) of the dinosaurs are setup around the boat ride's path in the Islands of Southeast Asia. I hope they do a better job of disguising the metal bases they sit on.
-The Red River Hog piglets were on exhibit this afternoon, very cute too!
-Dr. Sheldon Cooper was also out in the exhibit today.
-There are two Asian Small Clawed otter pups on display in the Education Conservation building that were born in February.

Was the baby duiker on exhibit?

The baby duiker was not on exhibit when we walked by. I assume the tiger cubs are still off exhibit too.

There's a video of two of the cubs playing in their exhibit on the zoo's YouTube so I don't think they're off-exhibit.

EDIT: I know this isn't the tiger video! It's another video I wanted to share.

Jack Hannah was recently quoted in a recent LA Times article about Giants of the Savanna at the Dallas Zoo in regards to their integration of all of their African Savanna species.Hannah is on record as saying this could be the new model for elephant habitats. This would lead us to wonder whether Columbus has this in its long term plans. There have been rumors of African Elephants eventually being part of additional phases to the Savanna project.

I thought Zoo Atlanta had Sumatran Orangutans?
