I just think we need to move on and not have animals to entertain people anymore
You presumably derive no entertainment from literally playing with your animals then.....

But surely you can get more from corporation between zoos? Like the Javan Rhino is hold onto ~60 individuals because of the capacity in the centre. We could get more if we have zoos conservation before its too late.Appreciate your comments but you assume that you can't release these animals but people are finding out all the time now that you can release these animals secondly i do believe it would of been possible to protect a small area in the wild with these animals rather than stuck in zoos

you could say the same for Moloch Gibbons but we protect them successfully and i do believe you can protect the sumatran rhino for sureTheir is outrageous deforestation going on right now, and many conservation efforts are in place to stop this. If we released all the sumatran rhinos back into deforestation habitat and out of their sanctuary, would you like that. Many more would be killed.

i just don't agree we need to protect in the wildExactly.
But what if chytridiomycosis get in that area. We can't avoid that and risking animals to that isn't a game. I would rather see them safe in a zoo than having the unceasing risk of chytridiomycosis.Appreciate your comments but you assume that you can't release these animals but people are finding out all the time now that you can release these animals secondly i do believe it would of been possible to protect a small area in the wild with these animals rather than stuck in zoos
Conservationists around the world are trying as hard as they can, but I think you know from being a conservationist yourself, it isn't easy.you could say the same for Moloch Gibbons but we protect them successfully and i do believe you can protect the sumatran rhino for sure
i agree it really isn't easy especially trying to get people to accept changeConservationists around the world are trying as hard as they can, but I think you know from being a conservationist yourself, it isn't easy.
sorry you can't call but will add that you are making out i have inherited money ..i did not my money is my own
we check everything for diseases always and never had an issueBut what if chytridiomycosis get in that area. We can't avoid that and risking animals to that isn't a game. I would rather see them safe in a zoo than having the unceasing risk of chytridiomycosis.
I honestly believe you aren't accepting that much change right now, as stating that zoos are terrible and we could do so much more in the wild. But zoos have saved plenty of species from extinction, and captive breeding programs are in place for many species. You aren't accepting change that much right now, as if you haven't noticed zoos have changed drastically over time, and many now are dedicating themselves to save wildife.i agree it really isn't easy especially trying to get people to accept change
Tim you sent me your magazine with your letter inside from memory the paper was a creamy colour not brilliant whiteOkay then...here`s a troll tester. If you really are Damian A you will know that you and I had quite a spat by email last year and that our argument featured heavily in Editorials in our magazine Zoo Grapevine and International Zoo News(the second of which you used to own). Can you give me two dates last year on which you sent me emails?
err, you dodged the questionTim you sent me your magazine with your letter inside from memory the paper was a creamy colour not brilliant white
Ok thank you for your comment but here what you need to know...I honestly believe you aren't accepting that much change right now, as stating that zoos are terrible and we could do so much more in the wild. Okay....not the answer i asked for actually. Though i did indeed send you the magazine with a letter. A direct answer to my question would be Q.E.D.. And another, what name did your father adopt at Oxford University?Tim you sent me your magazine with your letter inside from memory the paper was a creamy colour not brilliant white

This is simply not true.lastly does this actually justify all the millions of animals enslaved in zoos in sub standard cages and diets i again don't think so
