Black Panther - Why you should not raise your kids in Oakland.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - Delinquent man and gang members beats up elderly father.
Godzilla - Attack of the 350-foot Cockblocker.
Whiplash - When the school bully grows up.
 
The Aviator - the rise and fall of a mad genius, emphasis on the "mad"
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - I'd say Andy Serkis isn't monkeying around, but they don't have tails
Death of Stalin - Steve Buscemi is the president we didn't know we wanted
Air Force One - FORD FOR PRESIDENT!
Jurassic Park - billionaires should not be herpetologists
Lady and the Tramp - a poor guy kidnaps a rich girl and takes her to dinner

Jonah: a VeggieTales Movie- A Sunday school lesson with produce.
The Brave Little Toaster- Appliances vs. the world.

Raiders of the Lost Ark- Ownership dispute over a Biblical relic.
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie- Toilet humor done right.
Ice Age- Three Pleistocene Animals and a Baby.
 
Now that one is a trick question ;) as it could be Hamlet, or it could be The Lion King!
 
Crazy Rich Asians : The typical rich boy/poor girl rom/com, but it's only groundbreaking and diverse because the characters are Asian and it takes place in a different country (not America). Totally new concept.

Beauty and the Beast (2017) - Hermione proving she skipped music class
Christopher Robin (2018) - The real Toy Story 4
Dumbo (2019) - PETA the Disney movie
Aladdin (2019) - Social Justice Jasmine
The Lion King (2019) - Jon Favreau proving these movies can't be great
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019) - Women understand women and they hate each other
Lady and the Tramp (2019) - Keep that thing on a leash

Yeah, sure... North American wolves adopting an Indian kid who meets Colombian mammoths, a brown bear and a Titaniboa and gets kidnapped by Lion-tailed macaques that serve a gigantopithecus... it makes San Diego's weirder mixes seem tame. I agree the movies okay, but they claim they went for 'accuracy'.
