Doctor Who Discussion

R.I.P. Nicholas Courtney.:(:(:(:(:(:(
You still making a nonsense of it, Doctor, in your... what's it called? TARDIS?
We deal with the odd... the unexplained. Anything on Earth... or beyond.
Jenkins... chap with wings, there. Five rounds rapid.
One moment you're talking about the entire universe blowing up and the next you're going on about tea.
Here we go again.
You know, just once I'd like to meet an alien menace that wasn't immune to bullets.
Splendid fellows... all of you.
Get off my world!

I just couldn't believe it when I heard, just... too young. She could've done so much more. :(

We'll never forget you Lis. RIP.

Just heard this myself. Desperately sad news. And so soon after Nicholas Courtney.

'A tear, Sarah Jane?'

R.I.P Lis Sladen:(:(

I can't believe its been April 2011 since the last post on this thread!!!???

Anyway, I just saw "The Snowmen" (aka the Dr Who Christmas Special 2012) and I am very pleased with the new companion Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman). It's about time the Doctor got a late 19th century hottie again -- for very old people, the first was Victoria Waterfield (Deborah Watling) with the second Doctor. Unfortunately it seems she's not *really* from the late 19th century so she'll probably end up wearing regular clothing instead of fancy dresses with lots of cleavage.....

Brilliant episode.

If someone wants to get a sampler of new Dr. Who (from whenever they rebooted it from the original run) to see if they like it , what would people recommend?

These are a few of my favourite episodes:

The Empty Child
The Girl in the Fireplace
The Runaway Bride ( that's a Christmas Special)
Human Nature (doctor doesn't know who he is, and is working as a school teacher in the 1940s)
The Lodger (James Corden very good in this)
The Doctor's Wife (very classic doctor who)

The End of Time episodes are also excellent, but you might need to know the characters to buy into properly.

The absolute winner - Blink

I was abit disappointed with the snowman episode :( Although I'm very interested to see how the Clara story line develops! I wonder if she is either linked to River or Captain Jack!?

Anyway the best episode is easily "The empty child"! Actually hid behind a cushion as it scares me so much!

I believe it's the one with Tom Baker.

Oh, is that what you meant? I thought you meant the flash version was something without Tom Baker.

I also hope that they have animated it, but if they don't have an audio track to match up with the animation then there's not a lot of point.

There's a few stories I hope they animate the missing eps so they can at least be released.
